Head Of BuzzFeed Video
In 2012, interested in becoming an expert in digital media, I joined BuzzFeed. During my seven years there, I focused on creating new video formats, growing new channels, establishing new areas of opportunity, and scaling up the video operation to include teams around the world.
I became obsessed with how to reliably create successful videos optimized for the unique environments of different social platforms. I started with YouTube, and moved on to figuring out Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram, as those platforms became more dominated by original video. The BuzzFeed video operation eventually reached a point where we surpassed a billion views each month across platforms.
