The Democratic Party
Between campaigns, I provided creative direction to the Democratic National Committee and helped guide their social strategy. In a challenging time following the 2024 election, I helped the team generate record social engagement. Since the beginning of 2025, @TheDemocrats accounts have gained 4.1 million new followers and generated over 1.8 billion videos views across social platforms. The increase can be attributed to a number of things, including an increased focus on TikTok, an improved visual identity, and drawing design inspiration from successful publishers outside of the political space.
During my time, the DNC renovated and upgraded its D.C. studio to become a valuable resource for Democratic leaders to film ads, social videos, live TV hits, and podcasts. It’s now one of the best studios in the D.C. area and it has been regularly used by President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Chris Murphy, and Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, among others.
The video team has continued to diversify the formats it produces, ensuring that we’re tailoring content for individual platforms and viewing experiences. In addition to producing short, vertical videos, the team has gained traction on YouTube with longer-form documentary videos.
Over the last few years, the DNC has served as a talent incubator for content creators. In 2024, for instance, the influential @KamalaHQ accounts were launched and managed by DNC staff. We’ve held conferences and training sessions with digital staffers from state parties and campaigns across the country to ensure that the party continues to improve how it engages with voters on social platforms.
